Wayne Sylvester Ford

Wayne Sylvester Ford, 82, of Concord went to see his Lord and Savior on October 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness for two years.

Wayne was born August 12, 1941, to the late Clifford and Mary Hinson Ford.  He graduated from Hartsell School in 1959.  He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight for twenty years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Dianne Childress Ford; son, Cliff (Lora Jane) Ford; daughter, Tonya (Mark) Safrit; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ford (Thomas); Jacob Ford (Dru); Nathan McGuirt; Christine McGuirt Stephens (Brian) of Utah; brothers, Lynn (Peggy) Ford; Perry (Jackie) Ford; and great-grandchildren, Alexander Basile, Clark and Luke Stephens.

Wayne's celebration of life will be at Oakwood Cemetery at 11:00 am on Friday, October 13, for a graveside service.
