Wayne Filmore Meadows

July 6, 1941 — November 7, 2024

Mount Pleasant

Wayne Filmore Meadows, 83, of Concord (Mount Pleasant), passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Wayne Meadows was born July 6, 1941 in Washington, DC.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Critzer Meadows; brother, Roger Meadows; daughter, Dana Meadows; father-in-law, Earl Kenneth Morris; and beloved dogs, Lacey and Rebel Mae.

Wayne was known for his outgoing, fun-loving personality. He was always carrying on some kind of shenanigans. Wayne had the ability to make friends with total strangers anywhere he traveled, including his beloved “Breakfast Club” every morning at Harrisburg Family for over 20 years. Wayne, rarely serious, loved to bring laughter to others. He was rarely seen not giggling or without a smile.

Wayne was an excellent artist, woodworker, and master fabricator. His shop was always filled with a multitude of projects. Originally, Wayne worked for DuPont as a lead warehousing and safety manager. Many of the safety practices used today in warehousing were developed by Wayne. He loved life and most of all having fun with his boys!

Services are planned for a later date and time where Wayne grew up in the mountains of Waynesboro, Virginia.

Survivors include wife, Linda Morris Meadows of Concord and sons, Hunter (Brittani) Meadows and Brogan (Megan) Meadows (Lane). In addition, surviving is mother-in-law, Sylvia Morris; brother-in-law, Michael Morris; sister-in-law, Cynthia Morris; nephew, Garet (Amber) Morris (Nevaeh and McKenna); nephew, Aaron (Cassandra) Morris (Isabella and Halle Rae); and grandsons Jesse Sullivan and Alex Snow. A special thank you to Wayne’s first cousin, Judy Beck.
