Wayne Yow

Wayne Edward Yow, 74, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home in Midland. Mr. Yow was born April 20, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Bill Columbus Yow and Violet Belle Little Yow. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Whitey Yow and Donald Yow; and his sister, Bobbie Burgess. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Concord and retired from C & C Boiler in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, Rev. Bobby Tallent officiating. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Pamela Jane Kindley Yow, of the home; his sons, Mike Yow of Shelby, Thomas Yow and Kristopher Yow of Midland; his daughter, Cristie Motley of Mt. Pleasant; his sisters, Sally Pinion of Locust, Brenda Reeder of Concord, and Jolene Butler and Sheila Shackleford both of Oakboro; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
