Wendy Ann Blackwelder

Wendy Ann Blackwelder, 51, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Wendy was born September 20, 1973, in Concord, NC, to the late James Edwin Blackwelder and Judy Ann Furr Blackwelder. 

Wendy was a wonderful cook and baker and will be remembered for her SunDrop pound cake. She always had a big heart, especially when it came to children and animals. She cared for a lot of children over her lifetime. Wendy had a soft spot for animals, but especially her dogs, Lillie Mae, Magnolia Mae, Roulette and Jinx. One of her favorite memories was traveling to the Outer Banks with family.

Survivors include daughter, Katie Kee of Mount Pleasant; mother, Judy Ann Blackwelder of Mount Pleasant; brother, Robert Furr of Mount Pleasant; sister, Connie B. (Shane) Hudson of Mount Pleasant; niece, Summer R. Hudson (Eathon Palomino) of Matthews; and beloved dog, Jinx.
