Wendy Rice

Wendy Marie Rice, 46, of Concord , passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

She was born April 9, 1973 in Concord  to Leroy Linker and the late Norma Linker. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Amanda Bowyer.

Wendy was a nurse for many years, she fondly looked upon her years as a school nurse.  Her friends and family knew her as a faithful, compassionate, Godly woman with a great sense of humor.  Her laughter was contagious and her humor was infectious. Her family and friends were very important to her.  All who knew her will feel the void left by her home going.

The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 am, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Pastor Ronnie Cooper and Pastor Leonard Ewing. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Survivors include daughter, Sidney; son, Noah; father, Leroy; niece, Monica; her dog and cat, Omega and Athena. She also leaves behind many friends that loved her.  The family would like to thank everyone who played apart in caring for Wendy.
