Wesley Hartsell

Wesley Steven Hartsell, Sr. 77, of Concord, NC passed away early Friday morning, July 14, 2017 at his daughter's home in Kannapolis.

Mr. Hartsell was born December 15, 1939 in North Carolina to the late David Hubert and Verna May Lisenby Hartsell. His was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Faye Lackey Hartsell. He was also preceded by his brother, Donald M. Hartsell and his beloved great-grandson, Troy J. Davis on April 2, 2016.

At the family's request there will be private services at a later date.

Survivors include his loving children, a son, Wesley Steven Hartsell, Jr. of Concord, NC, and daughters Shelly Yvonne (Duane) Argrett of Kannapolis, NC and Dorinda Jeannine (Will) Phillips of Hope Mills, NC. Also surviving are his sisters, Sandra H. (Bob) Holland of Charlotte, NC and Pamela H. Blackwell of Kannapolis, NC; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. As a loving grandfather he raised two of his grandchildren, Desmond R. Lee and Devonna J. Lee both Concord, NC.

Memorials may be made on behalf of Mr. Hartsell to Hospice of Rowan County or to the donors choice.

Wes will be deeply missed by his devoted and loving family and many friends. May God grant him eternal rest.
