Wiley Vanderburg

Wiley Burdette Vanderburg, 55 years of age, of Winston Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Wiley was born May 25, 1959 in Charlotte to the late James Harry Vanderburg and the late Anne McBride Vanderburg. He is survived by a sister, Jane Vanderburg Smith, and a brother, James Harry Vanderburg, Jr .

Wiley was the proud father of three sons, Thomas Chad Vanderburg, Wiley Scott Vanderburg, and Steven Wayne Vanderburg. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Dustin Kyle Vanderburg, Tyler Chase Vanderburg, Kayden Lynn Vanderburg, Kamya Maria Vanderburg, Zyhier Lae'Quan Mason, Kaejalyn Mattie-Renee Mason, and Xavier Kwyhan Mason.

Wiley was a truck driver and went by the handle "Milkman" in honor of his father. He was a man saved by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

A remembrance of life service officiated by Pastor Les Lanier will be on Saturday, May 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Charity Baptist Church, 26753 Burleson Rd. in Albemarle.

Memorials may be made to Larry Haglund, 1024 Crestwood Dr., Winston Salem, N.C. 27101, a group that greatly helped Wiley and we pray will help many more men. They changed Wiley’s life and through that have blessed all who knew him.

Wiley Vanderburg was deeply loved and will be greatly missed until reunited.
