Wilfred "Ernest" Armstrong

Wilfred "Ernest" Armstrong, 68, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Wilfred was born August 22, 1955, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to the late Reuben Armstrong and the late Irene Solomon Armstrong.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles, and sister, Agatha. 

Wilfred worked for many years as a security courier with Guardsman Group, Kingston, Jamaica.  He enjoyed working for DNP Imagingcomm in Concord for many years.  Wilfred was a hard worker and was well-loved.  Wilfred loved cooking and playing dominoes with gusto.  He also remained devoted to his church in Jamaica.  Most of all, Wilfred was a loving husband, father, grandpa and brother.  He will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Survivors include beloved wife of 16 years, Elaine Cole-Armstrong of St. Catherine, Jamaica; son, Wayne Armstrong of St. Catherine, Jamaica; daughter, Allison (Glenn) Curtis of Texas; step-daughter, Erica (Orville) Llewellyn-Thomas of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Ramon, Shanelle, Karieca, Trissan, Glenric, and Michael; one great-grandchild; one brother, Kenneth; four sisters, Monica, Lucille, Dell, and Millie; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev.
