William Beatty, Jr

William Howard Beatty, Jr., 76 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

William was born August 16, 1938 in Cabarrus County to the late William Howard Beatty Sr. and the late Lois Turner Beatty.

The private graveside service with Military Honors by the Stanly County DAV will be on Sunday.

Survivors include wife of 52 years, Frances Louise Beatty of Oakboro; son, Barry (Myra) Beatty of Oakboro; daughter, Shellie (Kevin) Pless of Locust, daughter, Starla Beatty (Michael) Thompson of Oakboro; brother, Keith Beatty of Locust; sister, Marjo Almond of Locust; and four grandsons, Brent (Ann) Beatty, Andy Beatty, Anthony Furr, and Matthew Thompson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
