William Black

William O'Dell Black, 84, of Concord, passed away on May 31, 2013. He was born on November 1, 1928 to Walter and Edna Black at West Jefferson, NC. William worked as a Supervisor for Fenstra Factory in Harrisburg, NC. William is survived by his loving spouse Phyllis of 54 years, 2 sons; Jeffery Black and wife Tammy Furr-Black, Gary Black and wife Tammy, daughter; Kelly Black-Meyer and husband Ron, 4 granddaughters; Jamie Black Stirwalt and husband Eric, Jessica Black, Megan Black, Lynzie Black; 2 great-granddaughters; Jayden Havens, Maddison Stirwalt, great-grandson; Gage Simpson; . He was preceded in death by father, Walter Black, mother, Edna Rose Huffman. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 2 at 6-8pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC. Memorial service will be, Monday, June 3 at 3:00pm located at Eastside Baptist Church 199 Elgin Dr. Concord, NC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eastside Baptist Church Building Fund.
