William Brant, Sr

William Stanley Brant, Sr., 76 years of age, of Huntersville, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast in Concord.

Stan was born in Andrews, SC to the late George William and Edith Porter Brant. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Brant Harter.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, September 4, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord . The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Suzane Dornsmith and Rev. Bill Gerhardt. Full military honors provided by National Honor Guard and North Carolina Patriot Riders.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Hartsell Brant of Huntersville; son, William Stanley Brant, Jr. and wife, Lucie of Charleston, SC; daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Jane Brant of Enfield, NH; grandchildren, Cpt. William Stanley Brant, III of Fort Irwin, CA, Rachel Elizabeth Brant of Charleston, SC; brother, George Michael Brant of Beaufort, SC; sister, Cynthia Brant Brogdon of Springfield, GA; four nieces and one nephew; stepson's, Jeffrey Michael Howell and wife Bunny of Concord, Jarrod Mitchell Howell of Concord; three step-granddaughters and a step-greatgrandson.

Stan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army

Memorials may be made to General Scholarship Fund at Clemson University.
