William Bryans

William Jennings Bryans, 65 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Bill was born November 10, 1948 in Mecklenburg County to the late Cyrus Thompson Bryans and the late Nell Edith Little Bryans.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Jeff Smith. Military honors will be conducted by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Lorraine Efird Bryans of the home; son, Nathan Bryans and wife Jenelle of Concord; daughters, Miranda Edwards and husband Ashley of Concord, Mia Bryans and Sabrina of Concord, and Myra Pizzino and husband Brian of Concord; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Caleb, and Ayden Edwards, Jaxson and Jayson Pizzino, Kaylor and Evryn Bryans, and Isabella and Maximus Bryans; and sister, Nancy Little of Concord.
Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and retired from the Air Force National Guard. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Carolina's Medical Center.
