William Charles Morgan, 59, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Atrium Mercy in Charlotte.
William was born May 19, 1962 in North Carolina to the late William Joseph Morgan and the late Elizabeth Camilla Morton Morgan.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July, 27, 2021, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July, 28. 2021 at Dunn's Grove Baptist Baptist Church in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Holt. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Dianne Morgan of Albemarle; son, William Dalton Morgan, of Albemarle; step-father, Jerry Chandler; loving brother-in-laws, Sam and Michael Lawhon, and loving sister-in-laws, Mary Ann Barringer and Teresa Helms.
William was a fighter and survivor and he lived life to the fullest regardless of medical issues from birth and throughout his life. He was Mason of the Year in 2017 and was a Volunteer Firefighter for Badin and a Scout Master for Boy Scouts of America. William enjoyed forestry and earned a degree in Forestry after attending school in the mountains. He worked for Culp Lumber Company for many years and was also lifeguard at Myrtle Beach. William was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Dianne of 34 years and he was also the best father a son could ask for to his son William Dalton. William was an extraordinary man of integrity, a leader, a jokester, a storyteller, and his son's best friend.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital and Kidney Foundation of Albemarle.
