William Furr
June 17, 1937 — April 19, 2015
William "Nootzy" "Bill" Franklin Furr, Sr., 77 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Furr was born June 17, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Cleveland Monroe Furr and the late Vadie McClellan Furr.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Martha Verlee Furr in 2010 and his daughter Vonnie Lynn Furr also in 2010; as well as his great grandson Oliver Daniel Cline in 2013.
Survivors include his son William Franklin Furr Jr. of Harrisburg; daughter Connie Elizabeth Furr of Rockwell; son Michael N. Furr and wife Connie Lynn of Concord; grandchildren Allen, Emilee, Nikki, Joshua, Ryan, Zachery, Courtney, Whitney, Hunter and Wyatt; as well as nine great grandchildren; sister Geraldine McDonald and brother Edd Furr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Ray Helms. Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery with military honors.
