William Griffin, Sr

William Glenn Griffin, Sr., 82 years of age of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House in Concord. Mr. Griffin was born June 5, 1930 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Parks Griffin and May Bell Hicks Griffin. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Love’s Grove United Methodist Church in Stanfield officiated by Rev. James K. White and Rev. Coy Blackman. Military rites will be presented by the Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Ada Elizabeth Mullins Griffin, of the home; his son, Billy Griffin of Wilmington; and his daughter, Tammy G. Moss of Charlotte. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Griffin family.
