William Hill, Jr.

William "Bill" Edward Hill, Jr. 51, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Bill was born November 10, 1968 in Akron, Ohio to William Edward Hill and the late Mary Anne Kenepp Hill.
In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Fred E. and Nellie Anne Kenepp, and grandmother Elizabeth Hill Wiggins.

Survivors include his father, William (Lou) Edward Hill; sister, Beth (Robert) Marock; niece, Meagan (Owen) Lee and nephew, Robert Marock; uncles, Fred Kenepp, James Hill and Frank Hill; aunt, Linda Earlenbaugh.  As well as many family and friends.

After graduating from Springfield High School, Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear propulsion tech on the USS Enterprise.
After his service concluded, Bill graduated from The University of Akron Asset program.

As an active member of the American Legion-Post 51, Bill served as Sergeant at Arms for four years. He was a founding member of the American Legion Riders Group serving as director and assistant director.

Bill led efforts to assist veterans with drug abuse interventions, suicide prevention, homelessness, veterans benefits and medical care.

Bill coordinated annual visits with veterans in our local area retirement communities, to bring smiles to veterans who thought they were forgotten.

If there was a need in an area Bill could serve, he would.  His passion and commitment to his family, friends and veterans was unequalled.  He will be missed greatly.

A memorial service to honor Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
