William Hudson

William “Will” Mitchell Hudson, age 29 of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Wednesday and Thursday. The family will receive friends after the funeral service at the Lodge at Hatley Farm, 28338 Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle, NC 28001. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 4:00 PM at Canton Baptist Church, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. Rodney Hughes, Rev. Adam Hatley and Rev. Mark Mabry. Burial will follow in the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Darlene and Roger Hudson, 28338 Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle, NC. Will was born in Stanly County on June 10, 1982, to Roger Gene Hudson and Darlene Biles Hudson of Albemarle. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, K.M. Hudson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 4 years, Meredith Randi Parker Hudson, of the home; one brother, Matt Hudson and his wife Melanie of Albemarle; two sisters, Allison Hudson of Charlotte, NC and Suzanne Carter and her husband Justin of New London; 5 nephews, Gavin, Cooper and Brody Hudson, Noah & Bronx Carter; one niece, Kaden Melmige; sister-in-law, Leslie Melmige and her husband Kipper; paternal grandmother, Cannie B. Hudson; maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Opal Biles; parents-in-law, Randy and Becky Parker of Oakboro and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Will was employed at Hudson Pool Distributors and was a 2000 graduate of Albemarle High School and graduated from the College of Charleston in 2004. He was also an avid NY Yankees and Carolina Panthers fan. Memorials may be made to the William M. Hudson Scholarship Fund, c/o Bank of Stanly, PO Box 338, Albemarle, NC 28002-0338. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hudson family.
