William Jacumin

William Lawrence Jacumin, 86 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Jacumin was born August 16, 1929 to the late William Lawrence and Massie Lee Willard Jacumin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Jacumin Carpenter; sister, Katherine Sain and brother, R.W. Jacumin. Bill retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. after 30 plus years of service. He also enjoyed traveling, trains, working in the yard, and Gospel music.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Barbee's Grove Baptist Church, 24819-A Oakboro, NC. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm officiated by Rev. Phillip Smith and Rev. Terry Burris. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: wife of 59 years, Nell W Jacumin of Oakboro; daughters, Kathryn High and husband Robert of Norwood, Lisa Kendall and husband Terry of Indian Trail; sons-in-law, Ricky Carpenter and Todd Sedberry; grandchildren, Nicholas Carpenter, Nathan, Madelyn and Meghan Sedberry, and William High.
