William Mcclellan

William Clayton McClellan, 80 years of age, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Bill was born September 21, 1933 in Chester, South Carolina to the late Clay J. McClellan and the late Ottie Mae Cato McClellan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Frances Williams. The memorial service, officiated by Rev. Jim White, will be at 3 PM on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Love's Grove United Methodist Church, 4360 Polk Ford Rd. in Stanfield. Military honors will be conducted by the Stanly County DAV, Chapter 12. The family will receive friends after the service. At other times the family will be gathering at the home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sarah Jane Wingo McClellan of the home; son, Clay McClellan and wife Glenda of Midland; daughter, Kelly Hart and husband Leon of Midland; grandsons, Daniel and Adam McClellan; granddaughter, Sarah Hart; and great-granddaughters, Lilly, Nora, and Claire. Memorials may be made to Love's Grove United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 276, Stanfield, NC 28163, and Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
