William Morrison

William Marion Morrison, 76, of Harrisburg, went to be with his loving Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home. A Memorial service will be held at Newell Presbyterian Church 1500 Rocky River Road West Charlotte on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 1 pm, with Rev. Brad Busiek officiating and Rev. Charles Dees assisting. A visitation will follow the service. Mr. Morrison was born on May 21, 1936 in Kershaw, SC, to the late Burt Trusdale, Kathleen Pate Morrison, and step-father Earl J. Morrison who raised him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Paul Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a graduate of Harding High School in Charlotte, class of 1953, and attended Appalachian State University. He retired from the U.S.Postal Service in 1993 after 36 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Duncan Morrison of the home; daughters, Cindy Morrison Stone of Spartanburg, SC, Lori Morrison Fetner of Highland Village, TX, and Sharon Kathleen Morrison of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Michelle and Christopher Stone, and Duncan and Garnet Fetner; great-grandchildren, Katlin Caldwell and Gavin Willis.
