William Motley

William Lee “Bill” Motley, 90 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Salisbury Veterans Hospital. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2 PM following a 30 Min. state. Rev. Raymond Ross will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church, with Military Honors conducted by the Cabarrus County Honor Guard. Mr. Motley was born on January 22, 1923, to the late Henry Motley and the late Eva Freeman Motley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Motley; and a daughter, Sharon Ledbetter. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Ruby Lee Green Motley of the home; sons, William Motley of Mt. Pleasant, and David Bennick of Gold Hill; daughters, Frances Motley of Albemarle, Debbie Sutton of Rimer Town, and Diane Bolton of Locust; and 24 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Motley family.
