William Oliver

William “Joe” Joseph Oliver, age 55 of Albemarle, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at his home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 1. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2 at 2:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mark Little. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Lutheran Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Mr. Oliver was born in Greenville County, SC on December 7, 1956, to Rozana Clay Hartsell Morton and the late William Eugene Oliver. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Oliver. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of six years, Christy Lee-Ann Sewell Oliver, of the home; three daughters, Tina Oliver of Winston Salem, Tracy Oliver and Terri Jo Oliver, both of Albemarle; one step daughter, Amber Sewell of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Randy Oliver of Albemarle, Duane Oliver of Ridgecrest and Chester Oliver of Norwood; two sisters, Vickie Morton and Rita Lynn Jefferson, both of Albemarle; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Oliver loved the outdoors, hunting, and working in his shop. He especially took great pleasure in spending time with his loving grandchildren.
