William Farrar Price

William Farrar Price, (Bill or Billy to his mother), 99, of Concord, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Bill was born on October 11, 1924 to the late Killian Adolphus and Ruth Farrar Price. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Letitia "Tish" Mayes Price.

Bill graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1941 and then served in the United States Army during World War II. Upon discharge, Bill returned, married, and raised his family in Harrisburg, NC.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm, at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 4815 NC-49, Harrisburg, officiated by Rev. Meg Skidmore. 

Bill is survived by sons, William Farrar Price, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and David J. Price and wife Shelly and their children, Susanna M. Price, William J. Price, Catherine E. Price, Sarah R. Price of White Rock, NM. Bill is also survived by his steadfast, loving friend, Linda Whitaker, for whom the family is eternally grateful for the friendship and caretaking she provided to Bill and the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrisburg Presbyterian Church, Cemetery Fund or the charity of their choice.
