William Spencer Ritchie, 50 years of age, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016.
William was born April 18, 1966 in Concord, NC to the late Spencer Lee Ritchie and the late Frances Louise Teeter Ritchie.
Survivors include his son Ryan Seth Ritchie; his sister Jennifer Ritchie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
William was loved by many, and loved others. He was a beloved father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. William loved the Lord, and his passion was to help others and make people smile. He was a paramedic in Mecklenburg County for 12 years, and he also volunteered with Harrisburg Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Most recently he worked as store manager at Rack Room Shoes. William loved the beach and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Tarheel Fan and a proud Eagle Scout. William will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all those who supported them over the past several weeks.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
