William "Larry" Russ, 76 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Forrest Oaks Healthcare Center in Albemarle.
Mr. Russ was born December 19, 1940 in Cabarrus County to the late William Burdette Russ, Jr. and the late Mildred Virginia Miller.
He retired at age 59 and enjoyed his life of fishing, remodeling his two lake houses, and being with nature.
A Memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 460 Branchview Drive, Concord at 1:00 p.m. with visitation to follow. Inurnment will follow at West Concord Cemetery in Concord, NC.
Survivors include wife of 54 years, Doris Jane Russ of Norwood, NC; three sisters, Carolyn Smith and husband, Thurman, Joyce Measimer and husband, Stacy, Anne Measimer and husband Rick; two brothers, Darrell Russ and wife, Wanda and Johnny Russ; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces; and his loving dog, Abby.
