William Wherry

William James Wherry, 80, of Concord, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at home. A memorial service will be held at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. William was born on September 27, 1931, to the late William Cotler and Ada Yandle Wherry. He was also preceded in death by a son, W. Gregory Wherry. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Geneva Kee Wherry; son, Jeff Wherry of Salisbury; daughter, Robin Eriksen of Charlotte; grandson, Ezekiel Wherry of Kannapolis; and great-grandson, Gregory Wherry of Kannapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church Education Fund, 6841 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027; or Boy Scouts of America, 203 Swanson Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
