William "Bill" Enright

October 28, 1933 — January 3, 2019

William "Bill" Dennis Enright, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019 at age 85 from natural causes.

Bill lived a long, full life as a wonderful husband, doting father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The man, the myth, the legend: Bill was the loudest man anyone could ever meet — but the most caring and giving person anyone knew. He was full of love, wisdom, and a collection of flashlights. Bill always made everyone feel loved and part of the family. If there was one person you wanted in your corner, it was Bill, the pioneer as a man and provider, protector and patriarch of the family. Bill, an avid Carolina Panthers and Notre Dame fan with a second-to-none yard synonymous to that of a golf course, was truly cut from a different cloth — one of a kind.

Bill worked hard for his family as a cement truck driver until retiring at the age of 62. He locked eyes with the love of his life Kathleen July of 1950, and the rest was history. Bill and Kathleen married two years later on Christmas Eve – December 24, 1952 – and lived with the love of his life in Upstate New York with their six children. Bill and Kathleen moved from their Eddy Road home in Macedon, N.Y. in 1999 to Concord, North Carolina, and loved spending their free time adventuring the states, Mexico and Canada. They also enjoyed being doting grandparents together until her death this past June.

Bill is survived by children Billy (Lisa) Enright, Danny (Sue) Enright, Colleen (Dave) Suhr, Dennis Enright, Tommy (late Jamie) Enright, Timmy (Dawn) Enright; grandchildren Kevin Suhr, Tara Ostrom, Meghan (Joe) Waters, Brian (Michele) Suhr, Danny (Melissa) Enright, Caitlyn Enright, Jeffrey Suhr, Broghan Enright, Billy (Corrie) Enright, Ashley Enright, Michael Enright, Derrick Enright, Kelsey (Andrew) LaChiusa, Breanna Enright (Justin Pcheny), Rion Enright, Robert Enright and Kayla Enright. Bill was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Eileen Enright , brothers Joseph and Michael Enright; sister Maureen Regasis, and wife Kathleen Enright.

“I know we aren’t the only ones, but it is amazing how two people meeting by chance can create such a dynasty of memories and love.” - William Enright

Quotes from his loved ones:
Collen (Suhr) Enright: “My dad that is the first man I have ever loved, and I am so proud he is my father. He is my one and only dad and I am his one and only daughter, and that love is forever.”

Jeff Suhr: “Grandpa, I love you so much. I have so many fond memories of you and our family. Every time we visited I felt immediately welcomed and loved. It has always been so easy for people to see the love you have for them in your eyes. You are such a strong person and someone I will admire forever. I love you grandpa. Thank you for being so amazing. You lead an incredible family.”

Danny Enright: “Grandpa can be loud and hard. No one can verbally demolish a person like William Enright. No Enright has a larger heart than that man. He’s a lifeline. He’s a person you want in your corner, on your team. Anyone that knows him is better because of it. The way Grandpa conducted himself as a man and a provider is exactly what I’ve tried to do as a father. He’s absolutely my greatest inspiration as a dad that I’ve tried to follow.”

Kevin Suhr: “Grandpa, for years now everyone says that I’m a lot like you more so than anyone else. I want you to know that whether I’m doing good or bad things when they say that, I’m happy to hear it and I stand proud. I love you.”
