Willie Gray

Willie James Gray, 94, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mrs.Gray was born on July 26, 1925 in Stanfield, NC to Roscoe James and Onnie Mae Tucker.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Walter Gray, Jr. and her son, Randy Mitchell Gray.

Mrs. Gray was a 50+ year employee of Cannon Mills, Plant 6, as a winder and later served as payroll clerk.  She was also a substitute teacher and summer librarian at Long Elementary School and later served as president/secretary of the PTA.  She was a hard worker all of her life to provide for her family.  Mama will be sorely missed every day.  She will be remembered for her sweet smile and infinite family stories.

The family will receive friends from  11:00  to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 before the funeral service at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord.

Survivors include sons, Billy Lee Gray (Deborah), Danny Gray (Paula), Jeffrey Kyle Gray; daughter, Cathy Gray Stone (Walter); Grandchildren, Jennifer Gray, Christian Gray (Chantell), Patrick Gray (Tiffany), Jade Hulse, Taylor Stone (Jessie), Andrew Stone, Erin Gray Gulledge (Chris), Zachary Gray (Hope). Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren.
