Willie Helms

Willie Curtis Helms, Jr. 70, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Helms was born December 30, 1947 to Ruth Higdon Smith and the late Willie Curtis Helms, Sr. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his son, Chris Helms; sisters, Phillis Brawley and Donna Smith; stepfather, Don Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 1:00 pm, located at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1069 Central Dr. Concord, officiated by Rev. Darrell Coble and Dr. Johnny Presley. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord, with military honors.The family will receive friends after the service at the home.

Survivors include: wife of 23 years, Frances Brown Helms; daughter, Nikki (Mark) Johnson, son, Scott (Lauri) Ingle, son, Kevin (Kristie) Ingle; son, Jon Krimminger, daughter, Amy (Matt) Gammon; Casey (Drew) Clark; granddaughter, Mikayla McClester; mother, Ruth Higdon Smith; brother, Paul (Carol) Smith; sister, Ronda Ashby and twelve grandchildren.
