Willie Jay Curlee

Willie Jay Curlee, 84, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Curlee was born April 16, 1936 in Stanly County to the late Claude Lee Curlee and the late Cora Hinson Curlee. He was also preceded in death by brothers,Cecil, Cletus, and Clayton Curlee; and grandson, Stephen Eric Sanders.

Willie enjoyed working on old cars and woodworking. He enjoyed family activities especially cook outs.

A graveside service will be on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM  at Smith Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 25711 Old School Road in Oakboro officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson.

Survivors include wife, Syble Curlee of Norwood; son, Jay Curlee of Norwood; daughter, Lisa Boles of Burnsville; grandchildren, Daniel Curlee, Stephen Daniel Burleson, Krystal Surratt; and seven great-grand children.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Curlee family.
