Wilson Griffin, Jr

Wilson "Larry" Griffin Jr., 53 years of age, of Concord, formerly of Hampton, VA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 23, 2015 at his home.

Larry was born February 12, 1962 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Wilson Lariel Griffin Sr. and the late Peggy Jane Griffin.
He was also preceded in death by his grandmother Viola Potts.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Susan Griffin of the home; son Regis A. Meloy and wife Kimberly of Concord; brother Jeffrey Griffin and wife Marie of Hampton, VA; brother David Griffin of Concord; mother-in-law and father-in-law Edith and Roy Waddell of Concord; as well as four grandchildren Jae, Britton, Grayson and Griffin Meloy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Roberta United Methodist Church, 3925 Cochran Road SW, Concord, NC 28027 with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. Jim Church. Burial will follow at the Roberta United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the VA Hospital in Salisbury or Roberta United Methodist Church.
