Wilson Frank “Tip” Meggs, Age 84 of 7409 Hwy 205, Marshville, NC 28103, passed away on October 14, 2009 at Presbyterian Main in Charlotte. Born in Union county on May 11, 1925. Wilson Frank Meggs was preceded in death by his mother- Bertha (Thomas) Meggs , his father- Leander Meggs , . Was a Supervisor with Charlotte Pipe & Foundry and a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church. And served in US Army in the Korean war. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 06:00 PM-08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home-Midland. Funeral service will held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 02:00 PM following a 30 Min. satate at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church-Marshville, with the minister Rev. Mark Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Wilson Frank Meggs was survived by his spouse- Carol G. Meggs of Marshville NC, his daughters- Betty Hartsell & husband Sonny of Locust NC, Mary Gallaher & husband Steve of Davidson NC, his grandsons- Jeremy Mabe, James III, Wesley, & Grant Hartsell , his sisters- Mary Lee Crisco of Marshville NC, Alice Austin of Midland NC, his brothers- Kemp Meggs of Concord NC, Marvin Meggs of Marshville, NC Memorials may be made to New Salem VFW 6198 New Salem Road Marshville, NC 28103-9675 or to Mt.
