Wilson Whitesell

Wilson Vincent Whitesell, 72, of Locust, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Wilson was born September 17, 1948 in North Carolina to the late Woodrow Wilson Whitesell and the late Mary Soots Whitesell.

The family will receive friends from  10:00am - 12:00pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. A private burial will be scheduled for a later date.

Survivors include brother, Homer Joseph Proctor, Jr. and wife Kay of Locust, NC; brother-in-law, Roy Sledge of Charlotte, NC, who he raised as his own son; nephew, Homer Joseph Proctor, III and wife Leslie of Locust, NC; niece, Katherine Rogers of Locust, NC; great-nephew, Kella Smith of Locust, NC; great-niece Whitney Hathcock and her husband Carlyn of Norwood, NC; great-great-nephews, Apollo Smith and Jamieson Hathcock; great-great-nieces, Gianna Whitley and Hailey Carter; very special friend, Tom Brown of Charlotte, NC; and last was his cat Priss who was the master of the house.
