Yolanda Flowers
March 16, 1949 — December 22, 2017
Yolanda Janice Flowers, 68, of Concord NC, died after an extended illness early Friday afternoon, December 22, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis with her family by her side.
Mrs. Flowers was born, Wednesday, March 16, 1949 in Chicago, IL., to the late William and Barbara (Pruitt) Gillespie.
On October 23, 1967 in Chicago, IL. she married her loving husband of 50 years, George H. Flowers, III who survives.
She leaves behind to treasure her memory her loving children, Jackie E. Flowers of Charlotte, Brandy L. (Benjamin) Gulledge, Rachael L. Flowers and Alexandria B. Flowers, all of Concord, NC, George A. (Tess) Flowers of St. Thomas, USVI. and Lewis W. Flowers also of Concord, NC. Other survivors include, nine grandchildren, Evan, Christian, Hope, Perry, Titus, Madison, Taylor, Ryann and Willow and one on the way, baby boy Elijah; two brothers, Arthur (Patricia) Barker, Christopher (Aneta) King; two sister, Myra Hughes and Bernadett Handsbourgh, all of Chicago, IL.
At the family's request there will be private family services at a later date in the home town of Chicago.

Yolanda will be forever missed by her loving and devotes family and many dear friends. May God grant her eternal rest.
