Zaida Rodriguez-Gonzalez

Zaida Nidia Rodriguez-Gonzalez from Brooklyn NY and resided in Concord NC, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Zaida was born May 20th,1953, Salinas, Puerto Rico to Lilo Gonzalez and Gloria Gonzalez. She was also preceded in death by sister Judith Delannoy, and nephew Nicholas Gonzalez Jr.

Survivors include father Lilo Gonzalez, Mother Gloria Gonzalez, loving husband of 48 years Francisco Rodriguez , Daughter Tanyka Rodriguez, Son Frankie Rodriguez, Daughter in law Paulina Rodriguez, Granddaughters; Abigail Rodriguez and Jazmin Rodriguez, Brothers Nicholas Gonzalez, and William Gonzalez, & a host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, & a very special inherited family Ramos/Barrios.

Zaida was a very good mother/wife/ grandmother and friend who always took care of her family and loved her friends dearly. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling all her grandkids with presents and love. She loved online shopping and was awarded customer of the year for all her shopping endeavors, she was so good at it packages are still coming in. She always did manicures and pedicures every 2 weeks no matter the circumstances. She loved knitting and was a good seamstress.

She encouraged all those she encountered, and her physical limitations did not stop her from sharing an encouraging word from the Bible with all who would listen. She will always be remembered for her courage and strength because no matter what life threw at her she always kept fighting and going until her very last breath.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm, Sunday, June 18th, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Monday at 4:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord officiated by Elder Marcelino Ramos and Elder Arnaldo Rodriguez. Burial will be at 1pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
