Charles "Chuck" Manning

Charles "Chuck" Hanner Manning, Jr., 74, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at TerraBella Harrisburg.

Chuck was born July 28, 1947, in Troy, NC to the late Charles Hanner Manning Sr. and the late Rosalind Smitherman Manning.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Manning.

Survivors include his son, Derrick Manning of Matthews, NC; daughter, Heather Aucello and husband Kyle of Harrisburg, NC; granddaughters, Peyton Manning; Kaley Aucello, Kacey Aucello and Karley Aucello; as well as his loving TerraBella family where he resided for thirteen years.

Chuck proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  After returning home he went to work for United Parcel Service (UPS) and retired after 30 years of employment.  Chuck was a one-of-a-kind guy who never met a stranger.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, June 6, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC 28075. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Jeff Hartsell Memorial Chapel of Harrisburg, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.  Burial will follow at the Southside Cemetery in Troy, NC with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chuck's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, or your local Hospice and Palliative Care organization.
