Donald Allman

Donald Craven Allman, age 68 of 3525 Hahn Scott Road, Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124, passed away on September 17, 2010 at CMC NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Monday from 7 to 9. At other times the family will be at his home. Funeral service will be in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle on Tuesday at 11 AM. Rev. Jeremy Blake will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Stanly County DAV, Chapter 12. He was a chemical mixer for Cannon Mills for 40 years and served in the US Army. Born in Cabarrus County on November 10, 1941, he is the son of the late Wiley Craven Almond. In addition to his mother, Cora Gertrude Allman Almond of Mt. Pleasant, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jo Anne Sehorn Allman of the home; daughter, Donna Rushing and husband Terry of Locust; son, Anthony Allman and wife Lisa of Norwood; grandchildren, Chad Rushing, Jennifer Lowder, Cheyanne Allman, and Shaina and Josh Whitley; sisters, Muriel Hefner of Concord and Ruby Love of Mt. Pleasant, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Carol Allman and a brother Harold Eugene Almond. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
