Gale Turner

Gale Sharon Jacques Turner, 77, of Midland, NC, passed away on April 1, 2018.

Gale was born on July 12, 1940 to the late Coleman and Nina Jacques in Charleston, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Orr Turner.

She was a Christian and was raised a Southern Baptist.  She was very loving and gracious and very strong in her faith.  She was a very hard worker who had fore site and was always a planner.  She was a very devoted wife, and mother. She was the best sister and mother anyone could have had.

Gale is survived by her two daughters, Deborah T. Wilson of Midland, NC, (Wayne), and Mary T. Garlock of Milwaukie, OR (Tom), two sisters, Carey Bessinger of Charleston, SC (T.E), and Mary Lou Mudler of Pensicola, FL; two brothers, Timothy Jacques, and  C. B. Jacques; grandchildren, Travis Moose, Bain Wilson, Megan McClure, and Benjamin Wilson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Wesley McClure and Michelle McClure.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 12 - 1 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC 28075. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm and officiated by Chaplain Sonya Campbell. Burial will take place in Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs.Turners personal caregivers, the staff at Carillon Assisted Living for the loving care given to Mrs. Gale over the years and Hospice of Cabarrus County for their care of Mrs. Turner.
