Glenn Parks Cranford, 93, of Concord, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Parks Cranford was born December 20, 1928, in North Carolina to the late Adam Henry Cranford and the late Callie Mae Cranford.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Betty Jean Cranford, brothers, James Cranford, Carl Cranford, Harold Cranford, Wade Cranford, Dwight Cranford, Joe Cranford, sisters, Mary Lou Ridenhour, Bonnie Herrin, Jacille Herrin and great-granddaughter Claire Piper Cranford.
All services will be at Pitts Baptist Church in Concord on Wednesday, November 9. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm, funeral at 2:00 pm followed by graveside service. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverend Scott Davis.
Survivors include sons Stanley (Debbie) Cranford of Concord NC, Greg (Jan) Cranford of Harrisburg, NC, Phil ( Joanne) Cranford of Clover SC, granddaughters, Mandy (Jeremy) Eudy , Lorianne Cranford, grandsons, Gregory Nathan (Amy) Cranford, Daniel (Rachel) Cranford, great-grandsons, Jakob Eudy, Bowen Parks Cranford, great-granddaughters, Morgan Eudy, Aubrey Cranford, Hailey Cranford, Lacey Cranford, and many nieces and nephews.
Parks served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a charter member of Pitts Baptist Church in Concord NC. He provided for his family as a carpenter and builder first as self- employed and later with the Cabarrus County School System where he eventually retired. Parks enjoyed gardening, fishing and supporting his kids and grandkids in their activities including school, sport and music.
Parks was an example of a good and faithful servant and loved by many.
