Jesse Hargett

Jesse Lee Hargett, 70, of Indian Trail, NC passed away at Carolinas Healthcare Hospice in Monroe.

Jesse was born on March 8, 1948 in Monroe to the late Jessie James Hargett and the late Bessie Nash Hargett.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Hargett, sisters Debbie Haigler and Jean Howard.  Jesse was surrounded by family members, friends, the church community of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and the Town of Fairview.

Jesse was a graduate of Monroe High School and UNCC, he obtained his MBA and also proudly served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam as a medic.  Jesse was elected to the Fairview town planning board and was serving as chairman until his illness.

Jesse dedicated his life to loving and caring for his wife, they shared 45 years of marriage.  Jesse had a wonderful sense of humor, was always willing to lend a helping hand at a moments notice and he always made everyone feel loved and special.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the McWhorter Hospice House, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.  A celebration of Jesse’s life to be announced at a future date.
