Joe Benton

Mr. Joe David Benton arrived at his heavenly home Friday night, May 18, 2018. His passing was very peaceful and he is with Jesus.

Joe was born July 19, 1947 in Cabarrus County to James Reece Benton and Betty Irene Burris Benton.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolyn Ann Benton Cook.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; his children, Brad Benton (Tammy) and Chris Benton (Misti); and his grandchildren Jacob Benton and Jenna Benton.

He is also survived by his brother Bub Benton (Linda); his sisters, Dennie Benton Tucker (Roddy) and Debbie Benton Little (David); and several nieces and nephews.

Joe retired from Ben Mynatt Pontiac Buick were he worked as a Front End Specialist. He also enjoyed working on his 1937 Ford and his Ford truck.

Joe loved his God, his Church, his family and friends.

He had a quick witted sense of humor, he enjoyed camping and singing in the choir at Glorieta Baptist Church and he did it well!

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Monday, May 21, 2018 from 6-8 pm. His funeral service will be on Tues., May 22 at Glorieta Baptist Church in Concord at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. William Nix, Rev. Robert Leonard and Rev. Nathan Brooks. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis.
