Juanita Chandler

Juanita Ann Billings Chandler, 67, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Juanita was born September 16, 1955 in Maryland to the late Dewey Clarence Billings and the late Roselatta Gertrude Billings.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Monday, November 28, 2022 at Albemarle First Assembly. The funeral service will follow on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Albemarle First Assembly officiated by Rev. Nate Drye and Rev. Bob Gruver. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 E. Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include husband of 36 years, David Chandler of Albemarle, NC; adopted daughter, Tina Gillum; brother, Dennis Billings, Donald Billings, Michael Billings; sister,Vicky Sinsko; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Kathy Higgins; and special pet, Simon.

Juanita loved animals, flowers, and singing. She had 22 chickens and had a name for every one of them. She also loved her two parrots Bud and Ruby. Juanita enjoyed gardening and traveling to the beach and the mountains. She truly enjoyed teaching and loved her students dearly.
