Lisle Caldwell

Lisle Thomas Caldwell, 87, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Lisle was born May 30, 1935 in Painesville, Ohio, to the late Lisle Homer Caldwell and the late Carrie Louise Caldwell.

A graveside service will be on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:00 am at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle, officiated by Nikki Teeter.

Lisle was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He graduated from Riverside High school in Painesville, Ohio, 1954.  Lisle served in the United States Army for 3 years and was a Telegraphic Communications operator during the Korean War. Following the war, he attended and graduated from Southern Institute of Graphic Arts, Nashville, TN.  He spent many years as a technical consultant at Graphic Arts Technical Foundation and was highly respected in the printing industry.  Lisle was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an excellent carpenter and also enjoyed woodworking.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, Joanne, traveling the country and abroad. Lisle was a great family man, known for his integrity and moral values, willing to help anyone in need, and will be missed by all who knew him

Survivors include wife, Joanne Caldwell of Troy, NC; sons, Tom Caldwell of Troy, NC, Tim Caldwell of Hermitage, TN and Ted Caldwell of Stanfield, NC; daughter-in-law Patricia Caldwell of Stanfield, NC; granddaughter Brittney Caldwell of Stanfield, NC.; sister, Sandy Teal of Fort Myers, Florida.
