Michael Johnson

Michael Elliott Johnson, 58, of Gold Hill, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at his home.

Mike was born October 14, 1964 in New York to the late David Johnson Sr. and the late Barbra Johnson.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Johnson.

Survivors include wife, Denise Michelle Johnson of Gold Hill, NC; children, Daniel Johnson, Brett (Tiernay) Simmons, Terry (Theresa) Simmons, Christopher Simmons, Hope Hudson, Lee Greenelsh; brothers, Lee Johnson, David (Meida) Johnson, Richard Johnson; 26 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and 8 fur-babies.

Mike loved his job with DOC maintenance and was a hard worker and dedicated family man. The only thing he loved more than his job was his family and taking care of them. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an avid musician and if it had strings he could play it! He was an excellent musician. Mike was a very honest and respectful man and loyal to a fault.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Johnson home.
