Monroe

Rebecca Stroupe Coppedge, 63, of Monroe, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe and moved to her eternal home in heaven.

Known as Becky to all who knew her.  She was born July 10, 1958 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late David Cornelius Stroupe and the late Annie Mae Stroupe.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Lenward Coppedge of Monroe NC; her three daughters, Lindsay Aponte and husband Joseph, Erin Alexander and husband Daniel, Rebekah Chandler and husband Cullen; her 8 grandchildren, Bryson Love, Caleb Love, Joey Aponte, Annalynne Aponte, Kaelynn Alexander, Allie Alexander, Ava Alexander, Franklin Alexander; her three siblings, Carol Lancaster and husband Rick, David Ricky Stroupe, Cynthia Dalton and husband Jerry; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Becky was a Godly woman who served the Lord and her family with all her heart.  Family was everything to her and she was so very proud of them.  She led by example and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.   She was an avid camper and loved to plan camping vacations with family and friends throughout the year.   She loved deeply and was a shining example of God’s grace and mercy, making many lasting relationships due to her caring, outgoing, and generous personality. She was dedicated to her Antioch church family and served as the Treasurer for several years, enjoyed teaching and crafting with the children in Sunday School, and found joy participating in missions.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but we have comfort in knowing she is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Until we meet again.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:45 am, Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Antioch Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 12:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church in Monroe officiated by Rev. Joe Query.
