Richard Barber

Richard Keith "Noonie" Barber, 75, of Concord, NC passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Mr. Barber was born March 15, 1947 in Concord, NC to the late Sidney Summerell Barber and the late Grace Martell Barber. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Sidney Barber; brother, Edward "E.A." Barber; brother, Ralph Barber; sister, Grace Lucille Allen; as well as his first wife, Veronika Barber.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Charlotte; daughter, Kathy Dillow; daughter, Veronika Barber; son, Klaus Barber; daughter, Chrissy Harp and husband Chad; grandchildren, Kayla Dillow, Jennifer Dillow, Christopher Dillow, Michael Rambin, Autumn Barber, and Cole Harp; sister, Dorothy Love; and many nieces and nephews.

"Noonie" enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing, Concord high school football and going to the beach.  But most of all he dearly loved his family and friends.  He proudly served in the United States Army, and later in the National Guard.  "Noonie" enjoyed grilling out with his family, and was well known for his steaks.  He will be truly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

The funeral service will be at 12pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with military honors.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Concord High School Athletic Booster Club.
