Robert "Bob" Bunn

Robert Glenn Bunn, 85, of Norwood, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at home.

Robert was born March 14, 1938 in North Carolina to the late Robert Glenn Bunn and the late Kathleen Helms Bunn.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Glenn James, and stepson Kevin Norton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:45 am, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jill Rhinehart.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather.  He graduated from Mars Hill University with a B.A. in business and went on to be the automotive division credit manager at Collins and Aikman in Albemarle for nearly 10 years.  After retiring from Collins and Aikman, he went on to become a realtor, having worked for several firms in Stanly county.  Robert enjoyed working with wood, making toys and craft cabinets.  He was a member of Central United Methodist Church of Albemarle where he sang in the choir and was a member of the board of trustees.  He also served his church community as an usher.  Robert was a godly man who served the Lord with all his heart and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include wife, Billie Jo Bunn of Norwood, NC.; daughters, Robin (Kevin) Padgett of Morehead City, NC., Sharon ( Mark) Bunn Montgomery of Cartersville, GA, stepsons, James (Debbie)Norton III of Albemarle, NC., and Sean Barrier Norton of Locust, NC. grandchildren, Andrew (Alex) Padgett of Jacksonville NC., Matthew (Andrea) Padgett of Fuquay-Varina NC., Kristy Montgomery of Cartersville GA., and Colton Montgomery of Las Vegas NV.; great-grandchildren, Luke Padgett of Fuqua-Varina NC., Ellie Padgett of Jacksonville NC.; brothers, J.C. Bunn of Troy NC., David (Martha) Bunn of Midland NC.
