Sally Hinson

Sally Marvene Smith Hinson, 80, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her home.

Sally was born July 10, 1941 in Stanly County to the late Roy Sidney Smith and the late Eva Autie Bell Smith. She was also preceded in death by husband, Johnnie Titus Hinson.

She loved her family and was known as the family historian.  She enjoyed spending her time cooking, canning and watching old time westerns.  Sally spent some weekends traveling and spending time with her sisters.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Rev. Brian Bolding. Burial will follow at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at 617 Bethel Church Rd., Locust.

Survivors include sons, Anthony Hinson, and Sidney and wife Cheri Hinson; grandchildren, Cameron Hinson, Harley Hinson, and Christopher Morgan; and many cherished family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Stanly County Humane Society, 2049 Badin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.
